Conveyancing

Conveyancing will be carried out by your solicitor

This term is used for all the legal and administrative elements involved in the exchange of ownership of a house.
For the seller, it involves an undertaking that you are selling with 'full title guarantee'.
This means you simply prove you have the right to sell the property.

The end result is that the buyer gets 'good title' to the property she/he has bought.

Procedure

• Draft contract
  
• The draft contract is prepared by the seller's solicitor and includes a copy of the title deeds and a property information form.
  
• The buyer's solicitor establishes whether the seller owns the property, and has the right to sell.
